Fees

The standard Fee for our services is $150 per 50 minute session.

Payment Methods

Payment is accepted by cash, cheque, credit card, direct debit or EFTPOS (Please contact us for Direct Debit details).

We understand the cost of psychological services can often be a barrier to engaging in treating. Optimum living are pleased to advise that they are now offering bulk billing for your clients with a Mental Health Care Plan. Additionally we have the convenience of HICAPS which means you can lodge your claim on the spot.

Optimum living are pleased to advise that they are now offering bulk billing for clients with a Mental Health Care Plan. Which means no out-of-pocket expenses for your sessions.Additionally we have the convenience of HICAPS  and Medicare Easy Claim which means you can lodge your claim on the spot.

If you do not have a Mental Health Care Plan referral you will not be able to claim the cost of your sessions through Medicare.

You may however be able claim some of the cost of your sessions through your Health Fund as some funds now offer rebates on psychology services. Please check with your own health fund to find out more.

You will not be able to claim a rebate from both Medicare and your Private Health Fund for your counselling fees.

Cancellation Policy

At Optimum Living we value your time and ours and it is important that we are given adequate notice for cancelation of a session.  When you make an appointment to see one of the psychologists we set aside a whole hour for you. If you cancel your session without sufficient notice you disrupt our work and disadvantage clients who otherwise may have been able to use that time

If for some reason you do need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please consider us other clients and give as much notice as possible.  This is to allow the time to offer the appointment to another client who may be on a waiting list for an appointment

Cancellation Fees

0 – 24 hours Notice

If 24 hours or less notice is given to cancel or reschedule your appointment or if you fail to show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to a full  session fee (100%).

24 – 48 hours

If you cancel your appointment within 24 – 48-hours notice a 50% cancellation fee for the session will be charged.

48 – 72 Hours notice
Sessions cancelled with 48-72 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 25% session fee.

Please note that your cancellation fee must be paid in full before another before your next scheduled appointment.

We understand that sometimes clients are unable to keep an appointment because of sudden illness or an unexpected personal emergency. If this happens to you, please contact us as soon as possible and we may be able waive the cancellation fee. If you had a medical reason for nonattendance we may ask you to you to provide us with a medical certificate in order to waive the cancellation fee.
